~Michigan's Adventure~
The largest amusement and water park in Michigan is called Michigan's Adventure. It is located on the western side of the state, north of the city of Muskegon, covering over 250 acres of land. There are 52 different rides a visitor can choose from, both on land and in the water! At the park are rides for all ages: there are seven roller coasters, a dozen thrill rides, rides for the family, and gentler rides for younger children.
Here is a map of the amusement park:
Roller Coasters
The seven roller coasters of the park are: Shivering Timbers, Thunderhawk, Mad Mouse, Corkscrew, Wolverine Wildcat, Woodstock Express, and Zach's Zoomer. Shivering Timbers climbs to the height of 125 feet in the air and then plunges the riders down through many drops throughout the ride. Going up to 65 miles an hour and over a mile long, this wooden roller coaster gives pure excitement to all who ride it. Thunderhawk is a steel coaster which has the riders suspended in seats while it drops, barrel rolls, and does a complete flip. Mad Mouse keeps the riders feet on the floor, but don't disregard its hairpin turns and quick drops! Each of these seven rides has something different to offer, so check them all out if you get a chance!
Thrill Rides
A visitor can also find thrill rides all throughout the park. To name a few, there are: the Dodgem bumper cars; the water bumper boats; the Grand Rapids river ride where passengers are at the mercy of the raging waters, the surging torrents, and a cascading waterfall at the very end of this whitewater adventure; Logger's Run which takes the riders through watery canals and over a waterfall; RipCord takes its fearless participants 180 feet up in the air and then they free fall down to the earth only held on by a single cord, sometimes reaching up to 80 miles an hour in speed; and the Flying Trapeze spins its riders round and round high up in the air.
Family Rides
There is something for everyone to enjoy at Michigan's Adventure. Whether you like to have a little bit more speed and twirls in your life like the Tilt-A-Whirl, the Scrambler, or the Thunderbolt, or go on a boat that sails through the air like the Sea Dragon, or even go on a ride a little bit more down to earth at which you can pedal at your own speed in a Swan Boat, Michigan's Adventure has it. Find the perfect ride/activity for yourself and enjoy the day!

Kids Rides and Activities
Michigan's Adventure didn't forget about the little ones! There are activities and rides that are sure to give them excitement and wanting more. There are the Airplanes and the Elephants that will take young children to heights they haven't soared through before. They can practice their driving skills in the Kiddie Cars. If they want, they can ride the Timbertown Railway train with their family all the way to the other side of the park! The family can visit the petting zoo, Funland Farm, where everyone can interact with llamas, alpacas, a miniature horse and a miniature donkey, and other barnyard animals.
WildWater Adventure
WildWater Adventure is Michigan's largest outdoor water park with fifteen water attractions. There are activities and rides for the whole family! Half Pint Paradise is the newest slide attraction and splash pad for small children. The Funnel of Fear is Michigan's only tornado slide standing over 63 feet high where up to four people jump on a raft and plunge down the funnel, twisting and turning every which way inside the enclosed space, until you land at the bottom in a pool of water. Others can enjoy the three wave pools, body slides, speed slides, float down the Lazy River, and don't forget the very center of the water park, Beach Party! This is a giant structure with water guns, slides, water wheels, suspended bridges and a bucket that periodically dumps its water out onto everyone standing close enough to it.
